This impressive city wall is one of the largest, solid and complete ancient city walls still exciting in China. Although this city wall is build on top of the original city wall which dates from the Tang dynasty (618-907), the current wall has a history of 600 years. You can set foot on the city wall and concur the 13.7 km. by foot or you can choose to rent a bicycle or tandem at one of the shops on the wall. It’s a nice and relaxing way to explore the city centre of Xi’an without getting hastened by the Chinese traffic. Prepare yourself for a bumpy ride!
