Sotto il sistema fiscale corrente in Cina, ci sono 26 tipi di tasse, che, secondo la loro natura e funzione, possono essere divise nelle seguenti 8 categorie:

• Categoria di imposte sulla cifra d'affari. Include tre generi di tasse, vale a dire, di tassa sul valore aggiunto, di tassa del consumo e di tassa di affari. L'imposizione di queste tasse è basata normalmente sul volume del giro d'affari o sulle vendite dei contribuenti nel manufacturing, nella circolazione o nei settori dei servizi.

• Categoria di imposte sul reddito. Include l'imposta sul reddito di impresa (applicabile a tali imprese domestiche come le imprese di stato, le imprese collettivo-possedute, le imprese riservate, le imprese unite di funzionamento e le imprese unite di equità), l'imposta sul reddito sulle imprese con l'investimento straniero e sulle imprese straniere e l'imposta sul reddito specifica. On matters economic, I generally give the Chinese government high marks. Starting in 1978 with an economy that could barely feed its people, the government has guided China through 30 incredible years of economic reform and development.

I have been here for half that period, and have personally witnessed how China has built out its infrastructure, deregulated one industry after another, privatized many of its state-owned companies and embraced globalization by joining the World Trade Organization. As a result of these reforms and more, China is now the third-largest economy in the world, and everyone is waiting to see what the next 30 years will bring.
