Tianhe CITIC Plaza, on Tianhe north road, is a vast complex including an 80-storey main building, two 38-storey wing buildings and a 5-storey Zhongtian Shopping Center, covering 23,000 square meters in total. This 391-meter high building was the highest one in China in 1990s, before that, the 63-storey Guangdong International Building in Guangzhou, was the highest in China.

CITIC Plaza faces Tianhe Sports Center, with Linhe West and East roads on either side. Guangzhou East Railway Station and the master stop of metro are building it. On the left, stands the Chinese Mayors’ Tower. Also in the vicinity is Teem Plaza, Guangdong Book Center, 3 large computer centers and many colleges and universities.
