The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall 中山纪念堂

Said to be the most important relic in Guangdong Province the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is situated on the southern slope of Yuexiu Hill. Constructed between 1929 and 1931 it was built as a monument to Dr Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of Chinese democratic revolution, by the people of Guangzhou and overseas Chinese.
