Kommunikation in jeder möglicher Gesellschaft, in Kultur, in Organisation, in Familie oder in Verhältnis ist immer ein Schlüsselfaktor. Die meisten Konflikte konnten mit guter Kommunikation vermieden werden. Kommunikation ist einfach, daß der Empfänger die Anzeige vom Absender hört und versteht.

Ich hatte mich immer für ein hübsches gutes Mitteilendes gehalten, bis ich nach China ging. Ich hatte Probleme in zwei Bereichen.

Chinesische einstellungen gegenüber Kommunikation sind durch viele Einflüsse geformt worden. Zwei vom wichtigsten sind chinesische Sozialgeschichte und der Gedanke der chinesischen Sozialphilosophen, besonders Konfuzius (und Konfuzianismus) und Lao Tzu ( Tao Te Ching). Der gesamte Effekt dieser Einflüsse ist gewesen, Individualität und den Wunsch zu begrenzen zu argumentieren und eine Gruppe Identität und einen Wunsch nach Harmonie einzuflößen…

It’s 7.40am in London and I thought I’d do a post before heading out for the day, so here goes.

The Chinese have an expansive view of time, seeing themselves as part of the continuum of history with less emphasis on the present. It is only through the passing of time that an individual or business can prove trustworthy. Hence the importance and patience of guanxi. They certainly plan, but it is for the long term.
