Half & Half
Perhaps Beijing’s most famous and long-standing gay and lesbian bar, Half & Half lies in an alley east of the Sanlitun Yashou Clothing Market. This bar, with a dark and low-key interior, is secretively tucked away, without any attempt to project itself, on the right-hand side of the road as you head north. Look for the sign saying ‘Half’ on the road outside. (to 2am)
