Is this fake? Or does this Chinese Shaolin monk actually perform the One Finger Zen technique without wires? You be the Judge.

Sure - Why not? He must weigh all of 80 lbs.

Fake. The body’s mass is being supported by one narrow object, the finger, whose surface area to the ground is very small - the pressure there will be very high, as will on his wrist and arm. He does not show any strain on his wrist or arm. Also, why the cut from his being seated to upside down?

This is real! Many people can do this in China.

Maybe not fake. Jack, I too would like to see how he got into the inverted position.
I have seen a Jiujitsu master who weighed about 250 pounds do a full inverted stand on his thumbs, just his thumbs. No supports. Just me and about 500 other people watching. So yes, it is possible.
I’ve also been practicing the arts for 20 years, so there are many things I have seen which appear remarkable. They are the result of years of practice and discipline - gong fu.
Jack, your assumption here about his body weight being all on one finger is not correct; the wall is also supporting him. He’s likely transfered much of his weight to his feet, the wall, and his other hand. Notice the lines and counter-balance. This indeed requires quite a bit of skill.
“Many people” in China or anywhere else can’t (or won’t) learn basic stances let alone more advanced techniques. It takes years of practice and a strong will to develop this level of skill - even the skill to fake this would take some time to learn.
