Every year in December the government announces the dates of national holidays, which vary each year. في كانون الاول / ديسمبر من كل عام ان تعلن الحكومة تواريخ الاعياد الوطنية ، التي تختلف في كل سنة. This year, the festivities in honour of the Dragon Boat Festival were an official day off in China. هذا العام ، في الاحتفالات تكريما للمهرجان قوارب التنين كان يوم اجازة رسمية فى الصين.

During these national holidays, the Chinese people tend to join for a family gathering. وخلال هذه الاعياد الوطنية ، والشعب الصيني وتميل الى الانضمام الى التجمع العائلي. In this case, ‘the family’ refers to the parents from father’s side, sons & their wives, unmarried daughters and the grand children. وفي هذه الحاله ، 'الاسرة' يشير الى الاباء والامهات من جانب الأب والأبناء & زوجاتهم ، والبنات غير المتزوجات والاطفال الكبرى. During these gatherings food and banquet-like meals are savoured, people go out to parks or enjoy themselves watching television. وخلال هذه اللقاءات للاغذية و- مثل وليمة الطعام savoured ، والناس يخرجون الى الحدائق العامة او الحصول على انفسهم ومشاهدة التلفزيون. Because most families live in different cities, gatherings last usually several days under one roof; quite exhausting in European eyes. لأن معظم اسرة تعيش في مدن مختلفة ، وعادة اللقاءات الاخيرة عدة ايام تحت سقف واحد ؛ مضنيه جدا في اوروبا العينين.

In China as well as the West old traditions are being modernised. في الصين ، فضلا عن تقاليد الغرب ويجري حاليا تحديث. However the traditional family value goes strong as ever. غير ان الاسرة التقليديه وغني عن قيمة اقوى من اي وقت مضى. This shows not only during the festivities but in day to day life as well. وهذا يدل ليس فقط خلال الاعياد ولكن في الحياة اليوميه ايضا. The family values are paramount. قيم الأسرة تأتي في المقام الاول.

This emphasis on strong family ties finds its origin in the Chinese philosophical tradition and family values were even embedded in law during the imperial times. هذا التأكيد على الروابط الاسريه القويه يجد مصدره في التقاليد الفلسفيه الصينية والقيم العاءليه بل وجزءا لا يتجزأ من القانون الامبراطوري خلال الاوقات. If one family member offended the law, the whole family was held responsible (and liable to punishment). اذا كان احد افراد الاسرة تسيء القانون ، والأسرة بأكملها وكان مسؤولا) وعرضة للعقوبة).

The modern times made family relations not less important. فإن العصر الحديث الذي ادلى العلاقات العاءليه لا يقل أهمية عن ذلك. It is one of few places in china one can relieve ones feelings without fear being prosecuted. وهو واحد من الاماكن القليلة في الصين يمكن لأحد ان يعفي منها مشاعر يحاكم دون خوف. Therefore the importance of family values and good family relations cannot be underestimated. ولذلك اهمية القيم الاسريه والعلاقات الاسريه الجيدة لا يمكن الاستهانه بها.

The family is also a total natural subject of conversation in China; Like we would talk about the weather. الاسرة هي ايضا مجموعة الطبيعيه للحديث في موضوع الصين ، ونود ان مثل الحديث عن الطقس.

A business conversation is often opened by asking after or telling about the family. المحادثة للأعمال التجارية في كثير من الاحيان من قبل فتح أو نقول بعد السؤال عن العائلة.
Many Western businesspeople feel uncomfortable with these personal family questions. العديد من أصحاب الأعمال يشعرون بعدم الغربية مع هذه المسائل الشخصيه الاسرة. When talking about family show respect by listening carefully and asking appropriate questions. عندما نتحدث عن الأسرة من خلال اظهار الاحترام والاصغاء بعناية سؤال الاسءله المناسبه.
