My name is Hsu Li, and I’m currently looking to find a position with an innovative startup in Beijing or Shanghai. For the past 3.5 years I have worked in greater China, primarily as a project manager, first for my own startup and then for business development startups. I believe that my wide range of skills and experiences as a project manager and my motivation to learn will allow me to adjust to the demands of any position quickly, and I am looking to enter the IT, renewable energy/technology, and similar manufacturing fields that require coordination between technical personnel and on-the-ground management of projects taking place in China.

I love to travel, having been to over 30 countries since getting my feet wet back in college. When I was in Uzbekistan for the Peace Corps, I worked with different volunteers to organize events such as teachers conferences, summer camps and little league baseball for the local people. When I worked in Beijing from 2005-2006, I was managing construction projects and building alliances for a business development company specializing in flooring products imported from the U.S. Then I moved to Shenzhen to handle the trade sourcing business for another startup company last year. I enjoy and thrive in startup and small business environments and I have worked in them all my life. I have worked in Beijing, I love living in China and I can see myself living here indefinitely. I’m bilingual and bicultural and would be best fitted to a position that requires mediation and communication between Western and Chinese cultures.
