What is the best way to find investors and financing for foreign restaurant ventures in China?
I have a great knowledge of Chinas restaurant market, concept ready and also found the right location. But no financing yet! Could somebody put me in the right direction to find investors?

Sami, please feel free to forward me your business plan (pierre.demesmaeker@telenet.be). If it proves to be of good quality I’ll run it through some VC funds and my Belgian partner in China. Tx.
Good luck & best regards,
Pierre

Best to do is to compose a thourough business plan and to approach either venture capital companies or private investors who have affinity with this sector for discussion. Some banks have departments where these private investors are registered and will intermediate if possible. We may assume that this person will have discussed financing possibilities with banks already and that is proving to be difficult. To find more strategic partners in the same sector, contacting umbrella organisations within the restaurant sector may be considered. They may introduce the proposition to their relevant members. A Chinese joint venture partner may also be an option to start in China.

Start with a reliable local partner for fast and easy registration procedures. Start slow with minimum investment so you can finance yourself at first.
Min capital from yourself: App EU 15,000.
If you don’t have that, than better not start ;-)

You can advertise for free on our website www.asiabusinessinvestor.com as you will be much more likely to find an investor there.
There are quite a few people out there looking for projects like yours and it is just a matter of finding them or them finding you.
Good luck.
