Introduction China Business Group

November 27th, 2007  by China Business Success Stories

LinkedIn China Business GroupHi everybody (and in particular Celina, John, Mayke, Christina, Louis-Bertrand, Denise, Hani, Rob, Benoît, Jorge, Jef, Nir, who did I miss?),

Thanks, to many of you, for sending me mail asking what the China Business Group on LinkedIn is about and what you can to do help make the group an overwhelming success! I – Michiel a.k.a. Michael – hope you will appreciate me answering some questions through this message to all members. As it will:

a) Spare me some time to answer everybody in person (copy-pasting makes it rather impersonal to me)
b) Share what this group is about with everybody

So here goes!

What the LinkedIn China Business Group is about / how it works:
This group is an extension of www.chinasuccessstories.com and following our mission statement aims to “help you get that extra leverage doing business in or with China, and prevent you from making mistakes that cost others, who found out the hard way, a lot of time and effort.”

Easier said than done, of course, so if that doesn’t do it for you, the group let’s you benefit from:

- Finding potential clients, service providers, subject experts, job candidates and partners
- Being found for business opportunities
- Inside connections that can help land jobs and close deals

These latter three are credit to the power of LinkedIn and the fact you joined forces with the China Business Group.

What you can do to help make the China Business Group a success:
Simply being a member and responding to fellow associates if they ask a question, is all it should take to benefit from the combined knowledge of the 10+ members a day joining currently. If you want to add more value please consider inviting friends, coworkers, employees, associates, relatives, family members, colleagues: anybody with a professional link to China to become a member as well. It is quite easy, forward this message, or simply email this link: http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/36656/50377703F693

Other questions?

Michiel, Hi!
Many thanks for your invitation which I have just accepted; you have an interesting LinkedIn profile. Is there anything specific I can do for you right now?
Kind regards,
John Kemp

Hani Nouval CPA, MBA

That’s great Hani, thank you on behalf of all.

Thank you for your invitation. Did you visit my website? www.vine-experience.com
Louis-Bertrand

Louis-Bertrand, I did and would love to produce my own wine someday (when I’m old and grey? Only joking, wish I’d have more time for it !

Thanks for connecting with me. What kind of business are you operating in china?

In the Netherlands I run a Public Relations / Advertising agency, with www.chinasuccessstories.com I think ‘publishing’ would best describe it.

Studied Mandarin from 1982~1985 in Taipei, been using my language and cultural training/negotiation skills for Asian business since 1985, been selling into China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore (Greater Chinese regions) and the rest of Asia, focused on the convergent PC-telecom-Wireless sectors.

I deliver public speaking on Smart Phone/converged mobile devices and Mobile WiMax markets in Greater China. I hope to be able to evangelize through your web page my latest public speaking highlights on Mobile WiMax in Greater China. This presentation focuses on the future of mobile technologies in Greater China and combines the planned roll out of (3G) TD-SCDMA technologies leading up to the Beijing 08 Olympics and Mobile WiMax, plus the connection to South Korea, Taiwan and Intel. Truly interesting stuff, I need your confirmation I can evangelize about this on your web site and need instructions on how to do that, please. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Our consulting company has been implementing Netsuite, on demand ERP/CRM systems for a few companies doing business in China, and a few other Asian countries.

We have now been approached by Chinese businesses to implement the systems for them as there are not enough Netsuite resources in China. The beauty about thi system is we can implement from anywhere and train everybody via webex so the implmentation costs are reduced and the companies are getting some of the most experienced consultants on the planet!

Netsuite in China is sold through a local agent but we can still do the implementation work either on our own or as a JV with the local NS people. We have a bit more experience than they do, however!

    Regards

    Graeme
